Simple Weekly Routine to Eradicate Blackheads/Whiteheads

 1) Double Cleanse: Double cleanse includes 2 steps. 1) Oil Cleansing & 2) Normal Cleansing.

Oil Cleansing is a method of deep cleansing your skin without stripping it off the moisture. I know the name sounds scary, but "like attracts like". Oil binds to all clogging substances on our skin and more, so it's easy to remove dirt, grime, blackheads, whiteheads, makeup & sunscreen.

Make sure to massage an oil cleanser into your face for at-least 60 sec paying special attention to the t-zone, nose, chin, forehead between the brows - where blackheads are most likely to appear. Rinse it with water and follow it up with a gentle pH balanced cleanser .

2) Steam: This process will soften the pores . Although, they wont open and close like a trap door, steam or a heated towel will release stubborn hardened sebum and grime from the pores & make them flexible for the following steps. (We don't recommend steaming your face more than once a week.)

3) Exfoliate: Apply your preferred chemical exfoliant (choose a light exfoliator that contains fruit enzymes/BHAs) to help remove dead skin and prevent new blackheads from forming, as well as to dissolve the resistant sebum we softened with facial steam. Keep it on for 30min.

4) Mask: Without rinsing the exfoliator, Use a light yet effective clay mask all over your face. If you have super dry/sensitive skin, then don't apply the mask to your entire face. Just apply it over the blackhead prone areas. We don't want to over exfoliate healthy skin because this can disturb the skin barrier . Wait for as long as the clay mask instructions specify and rinse it off.

5) Finish with calming Serum/Moisturizer/Sleep mask: At the end of any exfoliation routine or even after facial shaving I usually follow same routine of applying a layer of aloevera gel / any soothing or hydrating serum and follow it up with a cica based moisturizer and Sleep pack.

Do follow this routine and let me know your experience :)

Below is a video which I made recently. Thought it might help you guys..So posting the link here.
